Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Applications Systems Administrator  for a 3+ months contract opportunity in Raleigh, NC with our partner, one of the nation’s leading providers of diversified building products and services to professional builders and contractors in the residential housing market.


Job Description:
  • Install, configure and maintain organization's applications.
  • Monitor current applications and systems for performance bottlenecks; Research and resolve performance problems.
  • Financial, Analytical, ERP, CRM, and IT based application support
  • Utilize and adhere and help define current best practice standards of administration.
  • Assist in maintenance of IT disaster recovery plans (DRP) and participate in recovery exercise.
  • Provide regular updates to Manager on all projects and tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with personnel across several departments.
  • Review policies, procedures and documentation according to current established standards.
  • Responsible for documentation of systems utilizing collaboration arenas such as SharePoint.
  • Render Tier 2/Tier 3 user support.
  • Provide user training and support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by company management.

Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to record and manage project time.
  • Required knowledge: TCP/IP in LAN/WAN environments, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and above and Microsoft Windows 7 and above. Mobile device familiarity (tablet, smart phone).
  • Candidate should have exceptional problem solving / analytical ability

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is required to talk and hear, and use hands to finger keyboard, telephone, and handle other objects.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Vision required for this job includes close vision (clear vision within 20 inches).

Additional Information:
  • This is a 3+ months contract.
  • Required: 2-year degree or equivalent technical degree in related field. Applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Required: Candidates should have 3-5 years of enterprise IT experience in a Microsoft Windows Server/Active directory environment.
  • 2-4 years Microsoft Exchange and/or Office 365 administration, Active Directory administration, Windows PowerShell, Installing and maintaining client/server business application systems.
  • Off-hours and maintenance window work required as needed. Must be reachable via mobile device.
  • Required minimum travel.
