Network Security professional with the proven ability to work in a large infrastructure environment consisting of both core and remote facilities. The candidate should have a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide organizational effectiveness and efficiency within the network security space. The candidate would require the following skillsets:•Bachelor's degree in a Technology related program or equivalent experience.•Proven ability to provide great customer service.•Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.•Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment sharing ideas and direction.•3 or more years of work related experience in the following technology:oFirewall/IPS administration/supportoLoad Balancing administration/supportoDNS administration/supportoSSL VPN administration/supportoProxy administration/supportoDealing with PCI and HIPPA dataoSSL certificates•Synthesize information generated from logs, SIEM, and other sources to effectively respond to emerging threats•Knowledgeable in routing and switching technologies•Base knowledge of UNIX operating system administration•Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.•Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.•Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a given technology.•Proven aptitude for continuous learning through self-study or on the job training.•Willing to become a SME in a given product and displays a hunger for technology.•Respond to all system and network problems and participate in root cause analysis involving network and application issues.•Maintain detail and accurate documentation of all systems, including logical and physical documentation•Strong knowledge of network routing and security protocols, practices and implementations: TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, VLANs and BGP•Familiar with packet tracing tools and reading packet traces.•Participate in on-call rotation

 

Position Summary:

Provide technology engineering through all phases of the Technology / Project Life Cycle. The Technology Engineer is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. The Technology Engineer designs, implements/installs, maintains and administers infrastructure systems including hardware, software and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure adherence to architecture standards and roadmaps.
• Design and successfully implement overall infrastructure / middleware components per project with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA (performance and up-time), DR, and scalability needs required by the solution.
• Ensure that post-production operational processes / deliverables are well designed and implemented prior to the project moving into the solution support phase.
• Define and create operational procedures, processes, and scripts.
• Follow appropriate change/release management practices.
• Support and maintain infrastructure solutions utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as required.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• 3 or more years' experience in support and/or engineering for the specific technical discipline: security, database, network, collaboration, desktop, storage, backup / recovery, mainframe platforms, UNIX platforms, AS/400 platforms, Windows platforms, web engineering, Citrix, directory services, and integration (EAI, batch and real time solutions)
• Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.

Desired Previous Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.
• Technical knowledge of procedural, web, and client server development languages and methodologies
• Knowledge of data modeling and design and business process engines are a plus
