Job Description:

This positions is for 2nd shift.

BASIC FUNCTION:  The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Security Officers enforce the policy and procedures established for the Security Department as well as for the property.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous law enforcement experience desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Minimum six months experience as a Security Officer.
• Ability to work with guests to resolve complaints in a positive manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Responsible for all interior and exterior security of the property during respective shift. Will personally inspect and report to the Director of Security or Security Manager, any discrepancies that need attention to ensure the safety and security of the property, staff, and guests.

2.   Will oversee incidents involving guests and employees.

3.   Provide guidance and direction for the Security Officers.

4.   Address complaints from guests in person.

5.   Review written reports and activity summaries of Security Officers for completeness and accuracy.

6.  Provide direction to assigned shift by assisting on calls for service.

7.  Evaluate Security Officers’ work performance.

8.  Provide Director or Manager with pertinent information regarding major incidents occurring during shift.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Conduct periodic training exercises for security officers as needed or as deemed necessary by Director Manager.

2.  When assigned, will be in charge in the absence of the Director or Manager
