Job Overview:

The Analyst of Shopping Services will play a crucial role in driving growth in acquisition, sales and revenue. He/she will identify the relevant data from a large data field, compiling and presenting the information in a thorough, but succinct manner that will lead to stronger decision-making for the Service businesses. The data will be related to multi-channel marketing, overall business results, specific components within those results and individual store locations. He/she will pull data for regular reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis, challenging the status quo and initiating the development of new reports to enhance business growth. The Analyst position is a highly collaborative role, requiring regular dialogue with the Manager of Shopping Services, Stores and the Manager of Shopping Services, Marketing, internal and external marketing partners, vendors, merchants and stores; leveraging his/her assessment of the data to increase the overall knowledge and engagement of all business partners. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Use marketing data to compare mediums, identify opportunities and recommend action to improve acquisition and sales results. View the results by channel regularly, sharing observations verbally with the Managers and Director. Prepare the monthly marketing deck, coordinating the results with the various channel owners.
• Lead the seasonal planning process inclusive of Seasonal strategy presentation, overall metrics and by location details. Proactively prepare history and develop recommendations based on the data, participating in a discussion with the Director and Managers to reach a consensus.
• Drive improvement in store results by location by compiling and analyzing quantitative and qualitative results on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal basis. Discuss monthly results with the Managers, recommending action based on own interpretation of the results. Take initiative to view the various metrics in new, creative ways, inclusive of a collaborative team dialogue.
• Strengthen store relationships and performance, providing additional requested reporting when necessary, presenting state of business on monthly conference calls, helping store leadership to interpret the analysis so they may provide proper coaching.
• Strengthen and increase vendor relationships through regular analytics, paired with increased communication with the vendor community.
• Compile analytics to support Coordinator in reordering and/or redistribution of Shopping Services collateral (LRG, GWR, etc.) as needed.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• 4 year college degree.
• 2+ years or more experience, preferably within the Retail Industry.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Able to communicate priorities and business driving information.

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and analytical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects and prioritize next steps with diverse peer and senior teams.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting, hearing, and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Involves use of hands and fingers for typing on keyboard and using a mouse.
• May be a need to move or lift items under 10 pounds.

• Systems Aptitude: Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word, along with the ability to become proficient in Visual IQ, Marketing and Perks tableau reports and other new tools
