Automation Personnel Services, Inc. In West Houston is seeking qualified candidates for a Custodian/Janitor position that we have available. This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Compensation: Pay Rate Depending on Experience $13- $15 Monday- Thursday 6: 00 AM- 4: 30 PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Perform highly diversified duties to clean and maintain the plant facilities including, but not limited to:
-Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways.
-Cleans and Polishes fixtures inside plant facilities sometimes using ladders, washing and dusting where necessary.
-Clean, scrub and polish restroom facilities and restock with appropriate supplies when necessary.
-Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.
-Responsible for trash receptacle overflow and compacting when necessary. Forklift experience is required to be able to empty industrial trash bins outdoors.
-Other general cleanup and janitorial services when needed.
-Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and organized work areas
QUALIFICATIONS
-Forklift Experience is required
-Good physical condition and strength with solid manual dexterity
-Willingness to work overtime
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma/GED
-Knowledge of general custodial duties in an industrial environment is a plus.
Drug Screen and Background required.
