Heat Treat Machine Operator

There is currently openings for a heat treat/Salt Bath machine operator. This is a direct placement opportunity.

We specialize in providing customers precision and specialty Salt Bath Heat Treatments. Whether it's hardening alloys, carbon steels, tool steels or high speed specialty tools, the engineers know the precise metallurgical processes to apply to the steels. They work very closely with the Tool and Die industry as well.

The candidate will be responsible for working within the Salt Bath Department. They will be responsible for loading and unloading dies into the heat treater and Salt Bath. After the dies are loaded they will then operate the machines and do quality checks after they are unloaded. 75% of the time will be spent loading and unloading and the other 25% will include maintenance duties. This could range from light maintenance and cleaning of the facility to troubleshooting machinery issues. There are two different neighboring facilities and they will be spending the majority of the time in the main building

Opening on 2nd shift. 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Monday through Friday schedule and then overtime is worked on the weekends. The overtime is available on a volunteer basis but not required.

MUST HAVES:
- 1 - 3 years machine operating in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- ability to lift 50 + pounds unassisted
- mechanically inclined (hand and power tool experience)
- troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience
- Steel toe boots

PREFERRED:
- Specific experience working with tool and die
- experience working in a heat treat facility
- experience doing machine maintenance and ability to fix problems on their own
