This team provides efficient and timely delivery of all U.S., inter-office mail and assists in all mailroom functions. The job responsibilities, duties and requirements are to participate in our MDS warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse employee responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

 

 

What we offer

 

• Sorts and delivers mail for timely and accurate pickup and delivery; delivers fax communications upon receipt to appropriate individuals. • Drives company vehicle to post office daily at regular intervals; maintains sufficient fuel in vehicle. • Provides special messenger service for company as needed with company vehicle, as approved as approved by Manager Mailroom & Distribution Services. • Assists employees in use of copier and fax equipment in mailroom. • Ships & receives all items (domestic and international) including “Dangerous Goods,” UPS, DHL, Fed Ex, etc. including assuring proper paper work. • Accountable for tracking packages for Reps, Sales staff, etc. as needed. • Responsible for training new personnel in all mailroom procedures. • Daily inspection of all mailroom equipment for proper working condition and maintains continual inventory of mailroom supplies/forms. • Periodically deposits funds into RMRS Systems. • Responds to requests for service on copiers throughout building. Adds toner, if needed and determines if there is a need for a service call. Handles special projects as assigned. • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits   Physical Activity\: The employee will be climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping. In addition, the employee should be able to perceive attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly fingertips. The employee must be able to communicate ideas and instructions with clarity and good control of language by means of the spoken word, and must be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction In addition, they must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound. Physical Requirements\: Moderate lifting of 70 pounds in essential functions. The employee is expected to remain standing for sustained periods of time while working in the office setting and outside. Working Conditions\: Work is performed in the Mailroom/distribution area as well as throughout the office setting. The employee is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The employee is expected to have a high regard for safety. Working extended hours may be required as needed.      

Qualification:

Who we are looking for

• High School diploma• Minimum six months general mailroom experience• Knowledge of mailroom equipment

• Experience with warehouse and/ or distribution preferred• Ability to lift heavy objects and current forklift license • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills• Valid CT Driver’s License required• Knowledge of overnight couriers including Fed Ex, DHL, UPS, etc.
