Description:

What you will do

Perform new installations, retrofit and repair of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems. 

Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all debris associated with work.

Maintain proper documentation for all work performed

Follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities

Properly secure all SimplexGrinnell tools and equipment at the end of each work period

Complete and submit time reports and safety documents as required

May be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer service/installation requirements

Perform other duties as directed
 

Qualification:
What we look for
Required
A high school diploma or G.E.D.
Completion of a nationally recognized Apprentice program 

Minimum 5 years documented experience in installation and service of fire sprinkler systems

Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Experience training and mentoring apprentices

Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. 

Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities

Ability to work flexible hours.  Typical work week is 4-10 hour days

Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers and team members

Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly

Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times

Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service

 
 
Preferred\: 
State of Ohio fire sprinkler license

Able to obtain and retain license within six months of hire
