The Sr. Accounting Analyst position will be responsible for the key accounting and reporting activities for the BISSELL Business Ventures (BBV) entities, including BISSELL Rental. The Sr. Accounting Analyst acts as a key partner with the BBV and Rental general managers. This role will be required to operate with minimal supervision and direction, and demonstrate efficient communication skills in order to keep teams and members of management aligned on status.
POSITION PROFILE (Major duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities)
- Perform required monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries for BBV. Review trial balance and financial information for reasonableness and perform required journal entries as needed.
- Monthly consolidation of BBV entities and provide analysis on variances against Plan, Updates, and Forecasts.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
- Review transactions within Oracle to ensure transactions are processed correctly. Work closely with ITS and the corporate finance team to ensure efficient and accurate transactional processing.
- Accurately maintain fixed asset subledger for rental assets in over 10,000 store locations.
- Provide inputs for third party service provider to complete required personal property tax returns. Be the key contact with the provider to ensure accurate and timely submissions and follow-up on any outstanding questions.
- Provide budget to actual comparison and analysis.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting requirements including but not limited to: EVA models, Balance Sheet analytics, Fixed asset rollforward, and other required reports.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules as required.
- Collaborate with BISSELL Rental operational team to ensure accurate reporting of rental units and point-of-sale revenue recognition.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring Plans and Updates are completed timely and accurately.
- Provide regular financial updates to BBV executive team and staff.
- Prepare financial presentation materials for Board meetings.
- Works closely with other members in the finance and BBV team to meet timelines and budget objectives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
16. Available for special projects as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (i.e. degree, years of experience, etc.)
- Degree minimum: Bachelor's Degree
- Specific concentration: Accounting
- Experience level: 3-5 Years' experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (i.e. MBA, certifications, etc.)
- Relevant Excel
- Oracle and/or Hyperion
SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
