This is a role within the Kroger Technology HR Department.

 

Position Summary:

Develop and administer a Next Generation (student) program within Kroger Technology.   Develop a talent pipeline within the schools, as well as other key areas within the community to source for an aspiring technologist.  Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Partner with high schools and other technology programs (i.e. STEM, STEAM) within the community to create interest and a path for an emerging technologist
  • Communicate ongoing technology trends and innovations that engage students at all levels
  • Develop sourcing, recruiting and selection strategies for student programs that drive engagement and an ongoing partnership with Kroger Technology
  • Manage the INTERalliance partnership, summer camps and other specific related programs that increase interest in a technology career
  • Develop new relationships with community organizations to find potential talent for the technology business
  • Research, identify and implement recruiting trends and best practices in identifying future college and entry-level candidates
  • Coordinate technology recruiting events on high school campuses; including career fairs, student organizations and diversity groups
  • Develop and implement recruiting, social media and marketing materials to be used for recruiting or community events in partnership with the technology recruiting specialist
  • Travel to other locations such as schools and communities that offer technology programs
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications: 
  • 2 years of Human Resources or recruiting experience
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of recruiting
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience in representing companies at recruiting or networking events
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in interviewing candidates for internships or entry level positions
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate professional and friendly demeanor, both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects that require detail-orientation
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • Human Resource Specialist
