Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities: Complete Psychiatric Evaluations Reports and follow-up visits on a timely basis.Work with the Lead Clinician(s) and AVP of the Division of Immigration Services on recommending appropriate treatment interventions and placement recommendations. Handling and reporting of all untoward incidents in accordance with ORR/DUCO, OCFS and agency policy and training. Promoting and utilizing culturally sensitive techniques to care and treat children, youth, and interact with co-workers. Actively working to reduce bias and promote cultural sensitivity. Understanding and working toward agency and unit goals and objectives. Position Qualifications: Required licensure as a psychiatrist in New York State.Knowledge in Child Development, Psychiatric Assessment and Psychopharmacotherapy.Fluent in English and Spanish.Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, taking into account the varying clinical needs of each UC.Excellent oral and written skills.Valid New York State driver's license.Proficient computer skills.Knowledge of ORR/DUCO Policy and Procedure Manual. Qualifications Education Required: Doctorate or better.
