JOB SUMMARY: 

To direct, organize, and manage the operations of the Human Resources Department for Pollin Hotels including employment staffing, insure non-discriminatory employment policy, administration of preventative labor relations programs, employee benefits programs, wage and salary administration, training, safety, employee relations, and personnel records to ensure that the personal needs of the employees are efficiently met and the cost effectiveness of the operation is maximized.

SCOPE: Responsible for all personnel and/or related matters within that affects approximately 250 employees across 3 hotels.
SUPERVISION EXCERCISED DIRECTLY: HR Assistant
INDIRECTLY: None
SUPERVISION RECEIVED DIRECTLY: General Manager & Ownership

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and recruit sources of employees including newspaper, government agencies, and local and community groups.
  • Administer health and benefits programs.
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys.
  • Adhere to labor laws of Federal and State agencies.
  • Adhere to Federal EEO/AA plan & OSHA regulations.
  • Participate in local and community organizations (when applicable).
  • Involved and informed in such areas as employee productivity, 
  • motivation, labor costs, staffing and succession planning.
  • Integrate plans for the development of the Pollin Hotels employees 
  • and managers through special training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, or related field  is preferred.
  • 2-3 years progressively responsible management experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist or Management experience preferred
  • Good employee relation skills with strong emphasis on written and 
  • oral communications, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill set w/Microsoft Suite
  • PHR or SPHR-CP preferred
