Job Summary

As a member of the Financial Applications Business Support team the Senior Analyst, Projects and Allocations (Integration) will contribute to the functional and technical support for the general ledger, financial reporting, planning and consolidations systems used on a global basis (MGL v9.1, EPM, Oracle Business Intelligence tools and HFM). She/he will:

  • Provide recurring and non-recurring application support services;
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve moderate to complex application and process issues impacting the business;
  • Provide report, query development, testing, implementation, maintenance and analysis guidance and support; and
  • Support applications upgrades/enhancements.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
  • Execute day-to-day allocation production support, system maintenance and configuration activities (e.g., batch report process administration and monitoring; tier 2 or 3 end-user support; nVision recovery maintenance of centralized global public report and query inventories).
  • Work collaboratively and directly with the business and IT to understand and translate business needs and develop appropriate solutions. Support break/fix and enhancement activities:
  •  Partner with business to define requirements
  • Develop and/or approve development of steps, groups and cycles
  • Perform/support system and user acceptance testing
  • Participate in the analysis, development, test and implementation of allocations to align with business requirements.
  • Help implement systems enhancements and upgrades.
  • Help develop systems and process documentation, and end-user training and support materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Talents and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years financial applications management and/or financial accounting management experience.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft GL v9.1 or comparable general ledger application preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft EPM v8.8 application or comparable planning application preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting policies, principles and controls.
  • General knowledge of hotel and administrative accounting and reporting processes and systems.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Operates with a collaborative mindset to ensure that key stakeholders are considered, builds relationships to leverage information and insights; communicates well with stakeholders; openly shares and does not withhold information. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective relationships, both internally and externally with a broad group of stakeholders in order to foster trust.

Education and Professional Certification

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field required.
