NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for providing direction for the sales and marketing efforts of Legendary Baking pies and desserts to all channels of the food industry through both direct, broker and distributor networks in order to increase sales and gross profit margins for Legendary Baking.

 

 

DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  1.   Directs, develops, implements and executes the annual sales and marketing plan in support of the company’s strategies and objectives. Responsible for Legendary Baking’s profit and loss with outside sales and marketing.
  2.   Define the sales projections by channel and customer for budget approval; provide the marketing plan by channel and customer outlining the estimated cost to build outside sales; both reviewed and approved by the Legendary Baking President.
  3.   Increase sales and manage gross profit margins for Legendary Baking along with increasing the national profile of the company by selling to top-assigned multi-unit operators within the following segments: Retail, Food-service, Fundraising, Military-Multi-Unit Direct, Distributor Private Label, Distributor Direct, and other accounts as assigned.  Responsible for implementing the approved distribution strategies.
  4.   Ensures communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meets company expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketing plan.  Coordinate with Legendary Baking President, all custom-label products for multi-unit customers and/or distributor chains.  Coordinate end-user packaging requirements with the Legendary Baking President.
  5.  Recommends sales and marketing strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
  6.  Builds, develops and manage sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.  Develop and manage direct reports communicating position requirements and responsibilities, facilitate results, and review accountability for each position. 
  7.  Negotiate pricing and marketing dollars for profitable results with account headquarters.
  8.  Set-up sales meetings and end-users calls; conduct and delegate the appropriate preliminary interviews of brokers and training of brokers.  Responsible for tracking inventory movements of product through distributors and managing those accounts.
  9.  Manage sales and marketing activities in accordance with an annual expense budget.  Administer the day-to-day function sales support for all outside sales for Legendary Baking.  Coordinate end-user orders and broker orders through the Legendary Baking Operations Coordinator.  Handle any problems relating to Legendary Baking’s inability to fill an order.  Follow-up on all credits for Legendary Baking -placed orders that are requested from customers.
  10.  Responsible for sample accounts with all Legendary Baking outside sales; minimize cost or any requested samples and coordinate all products at competitive showings regarding Legendary Baking produced product. 
  11.  Work trade shows for all channels with Legendary Baking outside sales.  Participate annually in the National Restaurant Show, IDDBA, and various franchise conventions as deemed necessary in support of sales accounts.
  12.  Assist Legendary Baking President with any additional account activity as deemed necessary.
