Job Summary:
Are you a highly skilled Paralegal with employment law experience? Join us and focus on providing legal support related to employment law matters for a multi-state, fast paced, rapidly growing staffing company here in Delaware. You will research employment law issues, edit and prepare correspondence and legal documents, maintain paper and electronic files, manage employee relations projects, correspondence, and the department’s outlook calendar.
•    Manage employment related investigations, including interviewing witnesses, obtaining documents and evidence, drafting chronology of facts and creating case investigation notebooks
•    Assist with legal issues related to FMLA, EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA and dispute resolution processes
•    Prepare and draft memoranda, statement of position, correspondence, and other legal credentials
•    Design and maintain structured and comprehensive file indexes and case files
•    Proofread legal documents as required

Position Qualifications:
•    A Bachelor’s Degree or AA degree in a law-related field from an accredited college or university  
•    A degree resulting in an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies or a Certificate from National Association of Legal Assistants, National Federation of Paralegal Associations, or American Alliance of Paralegals
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate legal or mid to small law firm
•    Experience in negotiating settlements and mediation or arbitration of disputes
•    Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate contract terms and accurately draft legal documents
•    Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage numerous projects under deadline pressure
•    Demonstrated ability to handle confidential documents and information with discretion
•    Practical knowledge of contract law
•    2+ years’ experience in managing EO/AAP programs and OFCCP audit/compliance reviews
•    Ability to use analytical methods in legal matters to find innovative, creative, and  workable solutions within the company’s legal functions
•    Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts on legal matters
•    Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
•    Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
•    Possess advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
•    Must be analytical with a strong attention to detail
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
