Our Client is a highly respected and well-known Asset Firm in St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the creation and/or recordation of mortgage collateral documents for company's clients. This position reports to the Collateral Supervisor. 

 

Job Duties:

Ø  Review imaged documents, identify and perform data input of relevant document data points of mortgage data for purposes of document creation.

Ø  Assist with performing quality control checks on input data to ensure accuracy.

Ø  Assist in the creation or modification of quality industry documents according to department standards, following defined procedures.

Ø  Submit mortgage related document to county clerk for recording as needed.

Ø  Maintain a good understanding of CAM functionality and its workflow tools to ensure proper use.

Ø  Participate in special projects as assigned.

Ø  Promote and support positive team dynamics and professionalism among all staffing levels and throughout the company.

Ø  Must read, be familiar, and be compliant with Meridian’s Information Security Manual, as well as additional e-mails, policies, procedures and directives that comprise the overall Information Security policies as they are distributed. 

 

Education, Experience & Knowledge:

 

Ø  Education:

§  Bachelor's degree in a related field required.  In some cases, substantial, relevant experience may be substituted for this qualification.

§  High School Diploma Required.  Some applicable college coursework preferred.

Ø  Experience/Knowledge:

§  Some experience with mortgage loan data preferred.

§  2 or more years’ experience or expert level knowledge in reviewing, assessing and curing mortgage collateral documents.

§  Some Mortgage Related Document Knowledge Preferred.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

Ø  Analytical Skills:

§  Responsible for researching and solving loan or task level, escalated issues and problems.

Ø  Attention to Detail:

§  Attention to detail in the review and data entry of information from documents.

§  Attention to detail resulting in accurate, clear and professionally formatted reports and/or correspondence for both internal and external clients.

Ø  Communication:

§  Ability to compose professional correspondence independently for internal or external clients.

Ø  Computer Skills:

§  Ability to conduct web-based research finding sites and information independently.

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office including the basic functionality of Excel, Word and Outlook.

§  Proficient in Excel; intermediate to advanced skills including the use of lookups, pivot tables and basic formulas in manipulating large amounts of data.

§  Proficient in Word; intermediate to advanced skills.

Ø  Confidentiality:

§  Exercises good judgement with access to confidential borrower data (SSN).

Ø  Customer Service:

§  Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills required for internal and external clients.

Ø  Data Entry:

§  Fast and accurate data entry.

Ø  Independent Contributor:

§  Makes some independent task level or loan level decisions after research and within delegated authority levels.

§  Self-motivated with the Initiative to research, question, and apply information.

§  Independently organizes, tracks and prioritizes assigned work including managing internal and external requests effectively and within acceptable timelines.

§  Performs QC and review of others work.

Ø  Leadership:

§  Provides guidance in routine tasks.

§  Assists in training other team members informally by answering questions, providing QC or job shadowing.

Ø  Relationships:

§  Maintains a positive attitude.

§  Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.

 

Work Environment:

§  Able to work under pressure in a fast moving, deadline driven environment.

§  Ability to work overtime including weekends as necessary in order to support and fulfill client timeline requirements.
