Lowes Foods has been leading the charge in grocery eCommerce for more than 15 years and we’re accelerating that growth through a series of new and innovative online offerings. The eCommerce Techonology Manager will help us shape the innovation behind the growth, including robust eCommerce and content management systems, native apps, sophisticated grocery fulfillment applications, and everything in between. This position is part of dynamic, team-oriented group with direct support from the highest levels of our organization.

The eCommerce Technology Manager will be responsible for organizing all system analysis and application development activities through a combination of internal resources and 3rd party solution providers. This position analyzes user requirements and business functions to prepare for new applications or modifications to existing applications that contain a small to medium level scope – while also providing oversight and support for the applications that are live in production. This highly technical role sits directly on the eCommerce business team and acts as the “bridge” between the business, IT resources, and all 3rd party application providers. The eCommerce Technology Manager will become the “go to” resource for our most critical, game-changing online technology.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for planning and oversight of small to medium-sized projects.
  2. Establishes support requirements, protocols, and escalation paths for various production systems.
  3. Responsible for on-call duties to provide application support during off hours as scheduled by supervisor. Serves as a backup for other on-call staff.
  4. Schedules and initiates meetings with relevant business personnel to understand and document requirements for new application functionality.
  5. Serves as a liaison between eCommerce senior management, project champions or business owners, IT management, and third party vendors.
  6. Builds and curates relationships with software vendors to support building of critical paths and objectives, and coordinates team members on integrating the deliverables required to support the project.
  7. Oversees functional testing processes within project and takes ownership in application wide testing to insure design requirements are met and standards are complied with.
  8. Serves as project subject matter expert and provides expertise and coaching to team members.
  9. Capable of communicating ideas to end users, all levels of management and cross-functional teams in order to assure that project goals and productivity requirements are satisfied from the beginning to the end of all projects owned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or business.
  • At least 6 years of IT-related experience OR proven, hands-on knowledge of technology systems specific to eCommerce environments.
  • Experience developing SQL, SQL Server, Relational Databases, SSIS / SSRS packages, or similar ETL and reporting tools is strongly recommended.
  • Experience serving as a business analyst and leading small to medium sized projects including post implementation support.
  • Must have experience implementing, supporting, and liaising with 3 rd party software/solution providers.
  • Ability to craft a team and educate, motivate, and steer the team toward a collective goal.
