The successful Software Automation Engineer will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience, preferably in computer science, computer engineering or other technical (STEM) field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least three years of experience in software automation testing and with reviewing documentation and creating test plans and test cases.
• At least three years of experience with some or all phases of testing: Functional, Regression, Integration and Performance testing
• At least three years of demonstrated experience in technical problem solving; root cause analysis; and data gathering, analysis, and reporting within a system/software quality assurance discipline
• Experience testing client-server applications running in web browsers, mobile apps, and/or embedded devices
• Experience with mobile devices, desktop and laptop computers, gaming consoles, smart televisions, and other consumer entertainment devices such as Roku, Android, iOS/tvOS, Xbox, Win10, Chromecast, LG TV, Samsung TV, Chrome and Safari

Responsibilities:

• Work within a Scaled Agile Framework, collaborating and communicating well with team members and project stakeholders.
• Review specifications and write test plans and test cases as well as performing code reviews and test coverage reviews
• Deliver products that meet business requirements with clear test reports and effectively track, report and correct any product defects.
• Document code, test plans/cases, defects and product behavior.
• Develop low-level and high-level integration tests for application libraries using languages such as C++, Python or TypeScript.
• Work with automation libraries such as Behave, Gulp, or Grunt.
• Collaborate with other testers and developers to improve testing processes and infrastructure
