Currently seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer for a permanent position in the Raleigh, NC area. Qualified candidates will have the following:
Mid-Level Civil Engineer (Site Development) Primary Duties:
Job Description:
- This person will be working in the civil/structural group supporting utility power delivery projects for transmission and substation
- Will be responsible for creating the site development portion of the project. They will do 100% of the design in Civil 3D
- Independently evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to site development plans
- Develop design for an assigned system that may include analysis, calculations, research, selection, layout, etc. necessary to develop required design documents
- Project will be 30% customer, 70% from standards
- Project will last 1-3 months before passed off to electrical
- This company is the EPC on the majority of these projects. The Civil Engineer will have the opportunity to occasionally travel to the project site
Qualifications:
- Must have BS in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET accredited school
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing civil design - the projects can be DOT, municipality, utility, etc.
- Ability to take project from conceptual design, through detailed design, through construction
- Must be able to create designs in Civil 3D
