Heavy Equipment Operator - Full-time / Part-time

A traveling railroad construction company is seeking HEO and Track Laborers to do railroad repair and construction. Even as Equipment Operators they will be expected to do physical labor. Routine duties, under direct supervision, include but are not limited to: Removes and replaces rail, ties, track fastenings and turnout fittings; repairs, adjusts, cleans and lubricates switches, road crossings, and appliances, and signs; adjusts and prepares roadbed and ballast; operates appropriate company tools and equipment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic could repair backhoes, excavators, mini excavators, and/or many railroad specific machines. The railroad specific equipment could be learned over time.
No Certifications/ No Haz

Requirements for the position:
* 1+ years of construction work
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to understand and follow all written and oral instructions.
* Available to travel up to two weeks at a time
* Comfortable working outside in the elements.
Preferred Experience, But not required
* Prior experience in railway repair is preferred, but not required.
* Ability to stick weld
* Experience operating heavy equipment: grading equipment, backhoe
