Position: Lab Tech
Location: Lewes, DE
Department: Lab
Pay: $17.75-$19.75
Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM
Placement: 3 month Open Ended Contract
Job Description: This candidate will be working in a laboratory going over testing for powders that are formed in the plant. They will be working heavily wet chemistry techniques.
MUST HAVES:
- Professional laboratory experience
- Stability testing experience(assay, viscosity, ph meter)
- Documentation experience
Work Environment: This position will be based heavily in the laboratory. They will be reporting directly to the Lab Supervisor and the QA Manager. Will be working with three other technicians and Chemists
The hours of this position are 8:00AM to 4:30PM(1/2 hour paid lunch), Monday through Friday.
Dress code is business professional. Must comply with SOP and GMP guidelines.
Qualifications:
Professional laboratory experience
Stability testing experience(assay, viscosity, ph meter)
Documentation experience
Performance Expectations: This position in currently filling in for an individual that is on medical leave. With that said, the person filling this role should be able to come in and pick things up quickly. Ideally, they would like to have a light learning curve. Someone with prior laboratory, testing, SOP, GMP experience that can come in and hit the ground running will be ideal and fit in really well. Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and Supervisors. If there are questions, must be willing and able to ask instead of making mistakes.
Interview Information: There will be a one time, face to face interview with the Laboratory Supervisor and QA Manager.
Additional Compensation: Overtime will pay x1.5.
If there is a possibility of the position becoming full time then it would be shift work, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
Listed below is what the lab is looking for:
- Weekly housekeeping & Inventory
- Compositing of powder lots (and potentially pastes and gels if we have to head in that direction based on recent composite samples we have been receiving from the packing room)
- Keeping prepared solutions/reagents in stock
- Preparation and maintenance of volumetric solutions including standardization
- Viscometer and pH standardizations
- Daily balance verifications
- Stability testing support (most common tests = assay, viscosity, pH, ANC)
- Bi-Weekly hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide tests
- TOC Samples for GH
- Daily reagents notebook
- Raw material testing
