Senior Software Engineer

The Smart Licensing team works on the uniform licensing strategy across all Cisco products, making it easier to support the licensing across all lines. This has been in production for 4 years. There are around 35 product families and each has to go out in smart licensing. This team owns the SDK Smart Agent - it has multiple flavors, C, Java, rest APIs. The SDK is embedded into the imaging. SDK teams integrate the Smart Agent into their product. They need self-starters hat can eventually be leads. This person will be talking to the product teams on their own.

Required:

• Strong Java programming skills.
• Familiar with Java EE architecture.
• Knowledge on thread-safe programming in Java.
• Familiar with common design patterns.
• Knowledge on tools for unit test and mock test.
• Strong expertise in SQL database administration.
• Expertise in database configuration for scalability and high availability.
• Familiar with database schema design, normalization and optimization.
• Expertise on tools for database diagnosis, troubleshooting, performance tuning.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Cryptography.
• Knowledge of scalable software design and implementation.
