About this job

We are looking for positive and outgoing people to join our team as call center associates in the Tigard area! This call center position would be perfect for anyone with a positive attitude and a customer service background. One will be taking inbound calls to help those with issues regarding their phones!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in a call center environment, taking about 50 calls/day, primarily inbound calls
  • Utilizing one computer screen and the company's proprietary software program
  • Assisting customers in setting up accounts, canceling accounts, phone troubleshooting, sharing promotional opportunities, etc.
  • Talking with customers by phone and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service
  • Providing service courteously, accurately, and efficiently
  • Work sitting at a desk at least 95% of daily staffed time, not including scheduled breaks using a computer and talking on the phone to customers
  • Encouraging sale of new or additional services
  • Researching complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
  • Ensuring customer retention and satisfaction
  • Ensuring customer information stays private, secure, and confidential

Qualifications:

  • Typing at least 30 WPM is required
  • Typing at least 35 WPM is preferred
  • "Basic Computer Literacy" in-office computer testing
  • 1-2 years exceptional customer service experience (including comfort with upset customers)
  • Aptitude to quickly learn and navigate new technology systems and applications
  • Comfort working in a feedback-rich environment and ability to take coaching and make improvements
  • Comfort working in a metrics-driven environment, and have ability to hit metrics
  • Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone
  • The ability to actively listen and communicate with our customers, like an expert
  • Be able to multitask and provide explanations in simple terms
  • Proven track record of strong attendance/reliability
  • A basic understanding of cellular phones and cellular industry is preferred
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English fluently
