Kum & Go is searching for a Payroll Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Payroll team during payroll processing. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax information to maintain compliance with federal and multi-state regulations. This individual is also responsible for creating and analyzing reports, assisting in maintaining compliant practices at all company locations, and may lead payroll team members on projects. What you’ll do

  • Process payroll taxes and have responsibility for all tax related functions. Responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and efficient tax information is processed in order to maintain compliance with federal and multi-state regulations. Assist in the reconciliation of payroll and balancing of payroll registers. 
  • Process, calculate, and enter all child support, garnishments, and other special pay. Calculate and prepare manual checks as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting the Payroll Administrators during payroll processing, including completing pre- and post-payroll audits and other necessary adjustments to earnings and deductions. Provide necessary payroll support to all Krause Holdings companies. Serve as a backup to the Payroll Administrators, as necessary.
  • Responsible for auditing and supporting time and attendance validations between software and act as a resource for all KHI associates in all payroll-related questions. Research and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Work on special projects as requested. May lead team members on projects and provide guidance and training to less experienced payroll associates.

What we’re looking for

  • Detail-orientation with high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Access
  • Experience with human resources information system report writing
  • Experience with Workday, Kronos, or other payroll systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Customer Service skills

Other key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Three years of related payroll, accounting, or human resources information system experience
  • Must have Multi-state tax & Garnishment/Child Support experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
  • Retail experience a plus
