Regional VP of Sales & Marketing - North Central Region

Concord Hospitality is hiring for our Corporate Sales Team in the role of Regional Vice President of Sales to lead the sales operations for our hotels in the Illinois/Michigan/Northern Ohio and Greater Toronto Markets. You will be one of 8 Regional Vice Presidents of Sales who oversee the individual and collective sales operations of currently 16 Concord hotels within the designated territory. Ability to travel is a must with government issued documentation to travel between the U.S. and Canada. This position will be aligned and report to Regional VP of Operations David Lockard.

As a Regional VP of Sales your role is to support all corporate sales and marketing initiatives. Emphasis will be on the following areas for all hotels: Assisting and involvement of the selecting, hiring and development of new company sales associates. Actively involved in the direct sales efforts of hotels that have sales associate turnover, or are underperforming. For regional hotels that are underperforming ensure the following are in place: new effective strategic plans in place or restructuring of hotel sales departments. Responsible for rolling out effective sales training, and monitoring that hotels uphold all proper Concord Sales SOP’s to assist proactive and reactive sales managers meet Concord’s revenue goals. Responsible for multiple hotel operations, managing projects as directed by Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, maintaining the sales and service standards prescribed by Concord Hospitality and handling long range planning, troubleshooting and new Director of Sales mentoring.

Specific Job Duties Include but not limited to:

Train all sales associates on sales call productivity standards and maintain a follow-up process to ensure they are met consistently. When they fall below expectation a development plan is in place to improve productivity for all Concord proactive and reactive sales associates.

Assist with the development of GM’s on how to effectively manage their sales associates and sales effort, to include training on how GM’s can impact sales directly teaching when needed the importance of the “GM’s 10 Commandments of Sales”.

Develop a process to follow through that GM’s actively monitoring the sales call frequency with each hotels top 10 customers.

Ensure and participate in as needed weekly GM Sales Pulse meetings for regional hotels.

Conduct sales calls with the top revenue producers for each hotel in your region to ensure both the hotel and yourself have a relationship with Concords most important clients.

Manage all hiring process to ensure proper selecting resources for hotels. This includes MPO and HOOPS Interview tools or another industry tools. In addition have updated information on sales job openings and ensure hotels are following effective recruitment plan to fill positions in less than 60 days i.e., H Careers, Brand sources, etc.

Have a succession plan in place for hotels in your region to support strong growth within Concord and provide consistent recruitment outside the company for future sales talent.

Actively be involved as a Concord trainer for its new hires sales class, Sales University.

Develop a process that follows through on the on-boarding of new hotel sales associates, consistently following up with the new hire training outline and the lead trainer for each sales associate.

Assist poor performing hotels with new strategic sales plans and efforts to correct poor trends. This includes actively soliciting new business and qualifying new leads of business.

Ensure that all hotels are completing proper Quarterly Sales Action plans and they are communicated per the Concord SOP.

Be an available resource for all market sales blitzes or customer appreciations event planning.

Attend National Trade Shows to represent all Concord Hotels as directed by the VP of S&M.

Call on identified travel agencies or national accounts as directed on behalf of all of Concord Hospitality hotels.

Coordinate and Facilitate as needed all corporate direct sales training initiatives.

Requirements

- Must have experience overseeing multiple hotels
- Must have experience with Marriott, Hilton and/or Hyatt brands
- Proficiency in Delphi, Delphi FDC, CITY and Envision considered an asset
