Senior Accountant for company located in the Costa Mesa CA area.
This position will be covering for leave beginning week of March 19, 2018 through October 2018. Hours 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Light OT possible at month-end.

Responsibilities:
Handles and supervises the day-to-day functions of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections and general ledger
Manage the subscription tasks, including review signed contracts, setup new accounts, grant access to user, set up initial and recurring billing, review and process cancellations requests, etc.
Review and approve AP invoices in Avid and employee's reimbursable expenses in Concur
Supervise accounting associate to ensure staff is operating effectively and meeting deadlines
Monitor weekly cash balances, analyze future cash flow and disburse excess funds to parent company, if needed
May also prepare weekly flash reports, monthly revenue reports, and quarterly profitability analysis reports
Work closely with the VP Finance to ensure revenue and expenses are in for the month
Prepare and distribute monthly reports for BDX and Public Builder
Work collaboratively with members of other teams to accomplish tasks
Perform other related duties and projects, as assigned
Requirements:
Min 5 years General Accounting and Supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Highly proficient in all MS Applications (Excel (Advanced), Word, and Outlook)
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
Organized, reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated individual
Works well with competing demands
Takes pride in quality of work and will take accountability/ownership of the areas they are responsible for
Strong attention to detail and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done on time
