Our client is a membership-driven, not-for-profit organization that exists to effectively and efficiently serve its members' recovery and resolution needs. Our client is looking for an experience Project Manager.  This role is a non-IT and non-technical position. They are not looking for a background in IT or Technical Project Management.  This person will be responsible for non-IT project management, some examples including:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING – Day in the Life

• Partner with Project Champions to understand objectives and outcomes for corporate initiatives and departmental goals
• Think creatively to determine the best project management methodology and structure for each project
• Facilitate robust collaboration with frequent face-to-face interactions with all project members
• Simultaneously manage 4-6 projects and drive optimum communication for all project stakeholders
• Apply ‘customer-centric’ thinking to each project to ensure maximum benefit is delivered to all Members
• Create a project environment with “no surprises” and ensure each identified risk has a mitigation strategy
• Demonstrate a process improvement mindset and share your ideas for increasing the organization’s overall project management maturity
• Create raving fans, both internally and externally

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – What you know

• Bachelor’s degree - preferably in business, technology or science (with a decent G.P.A)
• Track record of expanding responsibilities and promotions
• 5-10 years of project management experience, with 3-5 years of experience in a PMO
• Experience working on both waterfall and especially agile projects
• PMP certification is definitely a plus and a working knowledge of lean six sigma basics is helpful
• Experience with scrum, Kanban and with various online project management information systems (e.g. Jira is a plus)
