Description

Sanitation Technician Lead

The Sanitation Technician Lead in our Houston facility prepares cleaning and sanitation chemicals, operates cleaning equipment on exterior equipment surfaces and manually cleans equipment parts, sweeps and washes floors, and cleans and sanitizes drains, pumps, hoses, bottles and can warmers. The Sanitation Technician Lead also aseptically collects samples to validate sanitation procedures, maintains cleaning chemical storing area, maintains sanitation records and is the lead role to other sanitation technicians.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on the 3rd shift. The hours for the 3rd shift are from 9:00pm until finished Sunday through Thursday. Flexible to work overtime and weekends as the business may need is required.

Position Responsibilities



1. Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Dr Pepper Snapple Group safety and sanitation requirements.

2. Possess understanding of production equipment so it can be properly cleaned and operated.

3. Use of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.

4. Restock and replenish supplies as appropriate.

5. Perform general maintenance.

6. Lead other sanitation technicians in work flow, proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

7. Lead quality control technicians in verifying quality of packaging and products from production lines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience working in a large production or manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of sanitation experience
  • CIP (clean-in-place) experience is preferred
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
