As an Administrative Assistant, you will

  • Use your excellent organization skills and helpful nature to keep the General Manager and Hotel Operations running smoothly, enabling the General Manager and supporting teams to focus fully on delivering elevated guest experience, business and financial goal achievement.
  • Act as the communications hub, ensuring the flow of messages and information within the property and externally between the General Manager, Corporate teams and ownership. Skillfully take and distribute accurate meeting minutes during Executive Committee and staff meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for the General Manager, hotel leadership and supporting departments, ensuring tasks, reports, emails and business correspondence are completed and delivered timely.
  • Help Hotel Operations stay on top of workflow moving through the General Manager’s office. Use your eye for detail and passion for order to maintain meticulous records for later reference and reporting.
  • Welcome guests, clients and visitors graciously in a professional manner and handle requests promptly.  Be the first line of defense for guest service recovery and escalate to the correct department to ensure resolution.

Fundamentals

A high school degree or equivalent education is required, plus two years’ administrative assistant or office management experience. Clear, effective verbal and written English communication skills are essential, with a second language helpful. To be successful in this role, you must be able to type 50-60 words per minute. The ability to operate a computer, business software and equipment is expected, with Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge helpful. This position requires full mobility and the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
