Free appetizers are offered to the DoubleTree guests every day from 3:30 - 5 PM. In addition to maintaining the appetizers buffet, the Mid-Shift Server will have the opportunity to serve food, beverage & alcohol from the restaurant menu as they will be responsible for restaurant coverage between the end of the morning shift and the beginning of the evening shift. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up appetizers buffet, maintain buffet cleanliness, and replenish food items as necessary. 
  • Take room service calls and fulfill orders as needed.
  • Exhibit strong menu, beverage, and wine knowledge.
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws.
  • Ensure that all state health regulations are being adhered to.
  • Keep the chefs and managers informed of any issues that might affect quality or timing of service.
  • Complete all side work as required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities to help the Dining Room and Hotel function efficiently.
  • Able to multi-task and handle volume service demands.
  • Handle all opening and closing duties required to operate the appetizers buffet, and ensure that all stocking is done, tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean.
  • Communicate all necessary and important information with the Food and Beverage Management Team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in English.
  • Current Tips & Sips Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Current Food Handler's Permit, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to be on one's feet for prolonged periods.
  • Must be available to work weekends & holidays - required.
  • Ability to cover shifts early mornings, and/or late evenings - preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age - required.
  • High school degree or GED.
  • At least one year serving experience - preferred
  • Serving experience in an upscale restaurant - preferred.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Previous knowledge of touch screen POS systems - preferred.
