MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE

Education
1. Required: High School level of comprehension
2. Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensing/Registration/Certification
1. Required:
a. Valid Illinois Driver’s License with no major moving violations in the past three years.
b. Valid registration of licensed motor vehicle.
c. Motor vehicle insurance with limits determined by insurance carrier.
2. Preferred: Valid Illinois Driver’s License with no major moving violations in the past ten years.
Experience
1. Required: None
2. Preferred: Six months to a year working in this or a similar food service delivery system with experience making off-premises deliveries.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
All items listed should be taken to read that the individual already has these skills or has the ability to rapidly acquire them.
1. Good speaking voice with clear enunciation and pleasant tone; good listening skills
2. Ability to read and coordinate food orders from computer tickets.
3. Ability to read recipes and execute preparation instructions.
4. Understanding and practice working under food service sanitation regulations.
5. Attention to detail.
6. Knowledge of store menu, prices and products.
7. Courteous, professional interaction with diverse types of persons.

8. High sense of urgency.
9. Good driving record and knowledge of delivery area.
10. Ability to handle large amounts of cash accurately.
Physical
1. Body Positions: Standing and sitting
2. Body Movements: Consistent getting into and out of vehicles, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting up to 50# and carrying it a distance of 50 feet or more, bending and flexing legs, arms wrists and fingers, grasping objects. Requires manual dexterity of enough magnitude to use computers, faxes, calculators and telephones etc.
3. Body Senses: Must be able to see and hear well enough to obtain and keep an Illinois Driver’s License, operate a point of sale computer terminal and write orders, sense of smell to identify spoiled or burned food or unsanitary conditions; must be able to speak well enough to be understood in person or over the telephone.
Mental
1. Language: Must be able to communicate in language in use in the area both verbally and in writing well enough to be understood: read and prepare food tickets, deliver correct food orders, interrelate, effectively with others.
2. Mathematics: Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations at a high school level or above.
Working Conditions
Work will be done mostly in a delivery vehicle with the accompanying hazards of bad weather and traffic, partly in a working food service carry out/delivery assembly area with extremes of temperature, crowded conditions, noise and rapidly moving foot traffic. There will be consistent order packing and loading activities during the entire work shift.
