Pharmacy Technician Part Time - Part-time

• Process prescription requests while demonstrating patience, empathy and compassion
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for patients
• Refer appropriate questions to a Pharmacist and promote department services

Product (What We Do)

• Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
• Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication and verify information
• Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

• Work includes standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive forceful pinching and grasping, bending and lifting, frequent use of a computer and telephone, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 1-10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 35 pounds rarely. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction)

Employment at Wegmans may be contingent upon your completion and our evaluation of a drug screen and/or criminal background check. All applicants will be screened; only those closely matching the job posting will be interviewed

• CPhT: Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Customer Service experience in a Pharmacy area (Pharmacy Technician or Support Center Representative)
• Experience managing, ordering, or controlling inventory

• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in order to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and other Windows based software
