Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech I in Bowling Green, KY for 3rd Shift – 10:30pm- 6:30am, Sunday-Thursday including weekend overtime as needed. Pay Rate: $24.31. Interested candidates must have two years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing Facility. The position is Direct Hire.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Tech I:
- Creates, updates, and improves Engineering Systems
- Diagnosis and repair Manufacturing equipment to help improve the Engineering Systems (including but not limited to: machine, tooling, and CMM data, etc.)
- Controls, updates, and improves Engineering Data (including but not limited to: machine, tooling, and CMM data, etc.)
- Build and/or set-up equipment
- Assist Engineers in design and installation of new/improved Manufacturing equipment, components, and processes which may involve using computer aided design & drafting (CADD) equipment
- Assist in determining spare parts requirements
- Make modifications to existing equipment as required
- Responsible for supporting operators in the training of leading parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements
- Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical problems; check blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, etc. to determine problems
- Troubleshoot hard-wired control wiring, E-stops, Safety gates, operator push buttons, etc.
- Troubleshoot Servo Drives, Variable Frequency Drives, and Bosch Torque Guns
- Perform corrective Maintenance procedures such as bearings, motors, repairing the wiring harness and connectors; change belts, replaces shear-pins, etc.
- Operate testing equipment; multi-meter, ammeter, megohm meter
- Maintains records on plant maintenances using SAP at an advanced level
- Retrofits plant equipment, plumbing, and Electrical systems
- Perform facility Maintenance, rigging, oxy-acetylene cutting
- Maintains routine records of equipment inspections, repairs performed request for service, time and material expended
- Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
- Minimize downtime by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts and external contacts
- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
Requirements of the Maintenance Tech I:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2-year degree from a Technical College or minimum of two years on-the-job training with heavy Industrial Manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity
- Knowledge of Metal Removal, CNC Programming and Welding Fundamentals
- PLC; Siemens , Alan Bradley Programming
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to work with Mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance manuals
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software; Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word
Physical Requirements of the Maintenance Technician I:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and twist up to 12 hours
Compensation of the Maintenance Technician I:
- $24.31 per hour; Full benefits on the 1st day of employment and 40 hours Prorated Vacation Time
