Job Title:                                  Shipping/ back-up Receiving

Department:                             Warehousing

 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-4:30PM, Friday 8:00AM-12:00PM

 

SUMMARY

Primary shipping personnel and assists in managing and maintaining the inventory control of raw materials.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Packaging of materials following bag and shipping instructions from internal documents (Job Travelers).

Prepares shipments using the computer system to ship product to our customers.

Puts finished good material in proper locations.

Pulls finished goods material for shipment.

Posts weight and shipping charges.

Prepares bills of lading.

Enter and maintain Excel spreadsheets for receipts and transfers of Consignment materials.

Assist manufacturing floor with inventory discrepancies.

Processes proper paperwork for international deliveries.

Occasionally will be required drive deliveries to customers or pick up material from vendors.

Backs-up / assists the Receiving / Inventory Control position when need.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with a good driving record.
