Laborer

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Laborer in North East, MD with our partner, an engineering and plant construction company for clients in the metals industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of physical tasks in support of plant operations such as shoveling, sweeping, cleaning of equipment and parts, media blasting, finishing, painting, general ground maintenance, lifting and moving heavy objects, cleaning and preparing job sites, collecting and delivering tools and equipment, and moving office furniture.
• May be required to drive company’s vehicle for short distance trips.
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s direction.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No work related experience required
• Certifications In house training provided to obtain certifications required. Driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and moving heavy objects
• Standing for long periods of time

• Tools/Equipment Used: Hand Tools
• Safety Equipment Used: Safety Boots, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Fall Protection, Ear Plugs, Other safety equipment/clothing may be required depending on assignment
• This is a 10+ month contract position
• Hours are: M-F from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
