Retail Sales Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary

We are working with a well-known, high end, furniture retailer to hire several Retail Sales Associate. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a track record of providing excellent customer service in their industry. This is a great opportunity to transition into a sales career from other fields focused on serving customers.

Our client's Sales Associates thrive in an environment where business typically comes to them with the intent to buy furniture vs. having to do a bunch of cold calling or converting customers uninterested in the product.

Appealing factors of this opportunity:

·   Ability to interact with customers face-to-face rather than sitting at a desk on the phone all day

·   Very little cold calling

·   Ability to earn between $45-70K (initial training is $15/hr and then you go to commission)

·   Great opportunity to get into sales from other related fields

Some of the responsibilities associated with this position are as follows:

·   Greeting customers as they arrive at the store.

·   Establishing a good report with customers.

·   Identifying the customers furniture needs and helping to find them that perfect match.

·   Up-selling customers other products.

They are ideally looking for someone with the following qualifications:

·   High school diploma

·   Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred

·   Ability to be on your feet for most of an 8-hour shift.

·   Availability to work on the weekends, and some nights

·   Readiness to learn basics of home design and furniture sales in order to better assist customers

·   Experience in retail sales or the restaurant industry (as a server or hostess) would be preferred
