Cliff’s Tavern is opening soon in Camp Hill! We are looking to build our management team with a group of individuals that enjoy working in a fast paced, merry-making, fun environment. Nothing is better than fun, food and live music with a little bar action to go along. Cliff’s Tavern is looking for an Assistant General Manager that is accustomed to motivating and coaching the team and providing stellar leadership. The ideal candidate will assist the General Manager with the overall responsibility for the operations and profitability of the business through the management of the people, product and facility. The Assistant General Manager motivates, instills accountability, and provides overall leadership, supervision and direction on strategic initiatives and operating standards to positively impact business results.

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: All hourly employees including if applicable Operations Managers, Director of Sales and technicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develop the strategic vision for growing the business. Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and live music in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun.

Continual improvement in the guest experience and quality of products.

Plan, budget and forecast the unit financials. Profit & Loss responsibility.

Work with Director of Sales to expand upon existing banquet and catering sales.

Develop a presence in the community through engagement.

Schedule, develop and review Management team and Director of Sales.

Ensure proper hiring, orientation, training and development of crew.

Ensure the guest experience and quality of products is at standard.

Ensure show quality and soft programming standards of venues.

Ensures compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to company, city, state and federal requirements.

Ensures compliance with company standards for human resource management development and discipline.

Ensures compliance with all facility ambiance and maintenance standards

Oversee goal setting with direct reports. Compliance with all cash handling policies and procedures.

Review and approve Group Sales contracts and pricing.

Oversee accounts receivables are collected and accounts payable are submitted

Minimal travel required.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills Individual must have experience with hiring, training, scheduling, developing and reviewing venue personnel, profit and loss, as well as financial analysis Work Experience 5-7 years of restaurant/managerial leadership experience in casual restaurant bar entertainment concept, or high volume restaurant.

Licenses or Certificates Local or State requirements regarding food handling and liquor service

Physical Demands General restaurant activities including walking, talking, sitting, standing, typing, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.

Mental Demands:  Must be able to provide excellent customer service

Must have excellent time management and follow up skills necessary to perform in a fast paced, high volume environment

Experience using Aloha NCR POS Systems
