Job Description

 

As the Beer Sales Representative, you will assist with planning, development, and implementation of craft portfolio strategies and marketing programs. Professional appearance, excellent time management, and outstanding customer service skills required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for profitable growth of the craft beer portfolio by executing craft beer initiatives within a designated territory of existing customers while developing new customers.

2. Assist with planning, development, and implementation of craft portfolio strategies and marketing programs.

3. Support new prospective craft brands by assisting the sales team in maximizing sales and distribution in key accounts.

4. Review market data with key accounts to provide data for potential of craft brand.

5. Recommend product sales improvement techniques to customers through merchandising, displays, promotions, and advertising.

6. Assist Trade Development, Chain, and Sales Departments on market requirements, maximizing ad features, and other promotional opportunities.

7. Assist with planning and executing the launch of new brands within market territory.

8. Perform chain client calls and presentations as needed.

9. Lead education initiatives on craft beer brand portfolio for retailers, customers, and employees.

10. Assist with resets as needed.

11. Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with customers, Sales, Chain, Trade, and suppliers.

12. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Possess education equivalent to Bachelors degree from a two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Possess knowledge of the WSLCB procedures and policies.

3. Possess the ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

4. Possess intermediate math skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Possess the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

5. Possess intermediate reasoning skills including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

6. Possess computer skills requiring knowledge of word processing software, e-mail software, spreadsheet software, order processing systems, power point, social networking sites, and Internet.

7. Possess ability to travel up to 75% of the time (some overnights required), valid driver’s license, and driving record compliant with company standards.

8. Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and/or weekends as job requirements demand. Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

9. Possess ability to obtain a beer license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; taste or smell; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
