Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working full-time Shipper-Receiver/Delivery Driver to join our growing IBS (Integrated Business Solutions) team. Your position will be comprised of shipping and receiving heavy duty truck parts and other items at our Scarborough DOT location along with a focus on picking up/delivering parts for our customer at various locations within the vicinity.
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities for this position will include: Shifting into a high gear and bringing a high energy to our fast-paced location:
- Driving throughout the metropolitan area using maps and directions
- Utilizing both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Maintaining a distribution log or tracking system to record all deliveries/pickups made
- Lifting merchandise up to 60 lbs for deliveries
- Helping team members when working with our DOT customer or finding auto parts
- Steering towards continuous improvement with our processes and procedures
- Receiving in shipments, stocking in merchandise on the shelves and shipping out items
Qualifications
The ideal Shipper/Receiver/Delivery Driver will have strong Know How of all things automotive, and must also bring a passion for delivering customer care to their job every day. Other requirements for this position include:
- Ability to thrive and have fun in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach to upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary
- Stamina to stand and walk for entire work shift
- Strength to lift 60 lbs. of merchandise
- Clear speaking and attentive listening skills
- Motivated to train and learn
- Flexibility in schedule
- Valid Driver's License with:
- No DWI convictions within the past four years
- No more than three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent computer and keyboard skills a must and understanding the in-house software systems
