Job Description

Industry-leading telecom & IT solutions agency is seeking a skilled Commissions Specialist with previous core telecom experience to direct commission processes. You will be responsible for all commission-related activities such as CRM management and auditing of current and past commission agreements to ensure accuracy.

This position requires a independent self-starter with a keen eye for detail. Ideal candidate must exhibit high competency in reviewing and fact-checking financial and commission documents. This is an excellent opportunity with room for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day and annual budgeting and commission processes
  • Monitor commissions progress and communicate any relevant changes to management
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of current and existing commission rates
  • Serve as a point of contact for all questions relating to commission issues
  • Keep detailed records of all commission activity
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external sales teams, reps and channel managers
  • Investigate and resolve any and all commission issues and inquiries
  • Create and distribute monthly commission reports
  • Ensure all commission contracts are up-to-date and accurate
  • Work with providers to ensure payments are made on time and for the correct amount(s) based on current contract percentages
  • Audit past and present commission data to identify discrepancies

​Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, sciences or other quantitative fields (preferred but not required)
  • 3+ years of related experience in sales compensation, accounting, or finance operations
  • Proficiency with CRM solution tools, specifically RPM Telco
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer service oriented, with have a willingness to help sales reps and management understand and resolve commissions issues
  • Flexible and open-minded, with a strong desire to learn and improve commission and budgeting processes
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, detailed-oriented and well-organized
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in and/or proven understanding of the telecom industry
  • Previous relationships with IT decision makers is a plus
