Maintenance Technician
Hotel Overview: Fairmont Austin will offer 1,048 guestrooms and suites, along with 140,000 square feet of meeting and event space. This is your opportunity to be part of the most anticipated hotel opening in one of the fastest growing markets in the US.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* To respond to all calls given over the radio in a quick and orderly manner
* To assist with all duties in the Engineering Department including all aspect of mechanical repairs, electrical work and painting.
* To assist the Engineering Supervisor in day to day duties
* Must be able to keep a detailed log book
* Ongoing dedication to exceptional guest service, both to internal and external guests
* To carry out all work in a safe manner, following all guidelines as outlined in the Health & Safety Program
Qualifications:
* Previous Engineering experience in a large hotel preferred
* Must work well without supervision
* Previous experience in hotel operations including guest service experience an asset
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
* Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Visa Requirements: Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
