DESCRIPTION
This is a professional nurse position that reports to the Program Planning and Development Unit Director for the Office of Children's Medical Services (CMS) Managed Care Plan. This individual is a medical subject matter expert that performs independent and complex work within assigned CMS region. This individual will be a Registered Nursing Consultant for related CMS Title V Program initiatives and activities which include, but are not limited to Patient-Centered Medical Home, Behavioral Health, and Transition.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
Coordinates and implements programmatic activities related to the CMS Title V Program within assigned CMS region.
Provides technical assistance to the CMS Managed Care Plan staff, CMS providers, and CMS Title V Program stakeholders.
Coordinates and participates in quality assurance activities to determine providers' compliance with CMS Title V Program requirements related to the provisions of services to CMS enrollees.
Serves as a liaison between CMS Managed Care Plan staff, CMS Area Office staff, and CMS Title V Program stakeholders.
Participates in local coalition meetings and activities.
Establish and maintain communication networks with CMS Title V Program stakeholders
Monitors participating CMS providers' performance and prepares reports and makes recommendations as necessary to correct identified deficiencies and improve operations and service delivery
Assist in the development of variety of training materials for CMS Title V Program initiatives.
Coordinates and facilitates trainings, meeting, and teleconferences related to CMS Title V initiatives and activities for CMS Managed Care Plan Area Office staff and CMS Title V Program stakeholders.
Collects and analyzes data from various sources related to the impact of implementing CMS Title V Program initiatives statewide.
Assists in the collection and analysis of data relating to key CMS Title V Program performance indicators and reports findings to management.
Assist in the collection and analysis of data relating to key performance indicators and report finding to management.
Performs grant writing and/or contract management activities.
Assist in the developing of policies, procedures, rules and/or legislation.
Writes research reports and other publications to document and communicate program activities or research findings.
