Job SummaryCommercial Lines Account Executive will be primarily responsible for handling small to mid-size accounts, placing new and renewal business, preparing renewal proposals, policy checking, endorsements, audits, invoices, schedules of insurance, issuing Certificate of Insurance, binders, etc. Job responsibilities include but not limited to:* Ongoing management of established book of accounts, negotiating renewals for existing customers, and maintaining a partnership with the producer to support business development activities while upholding high service standards. * Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.* Determine appropriate client service support for new and existing clients; respond to client and carrier inquiries, maintain and enhance the company's relationships with existing clients by executing proactive and ongoing contact initiatives.* Determine the needs of the client and identify cross-selling opportunities; expand/rounds-out existing accounts by identifying potential gaps in coverage, recommending and implementing proper coverage* Research and maintain industry knowledge of developing trends regarding carrier underwriting, appetite and pricing changes. Apply knowledge to negotiation of policies to provide best comprehensive coverage to clients* Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Required skills and abilities* Valid P&C license is required. * Knowledge of the Applied Systems - Epic is a plus.* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with underwriters and insureds. * Knowledge of insurance products, usages, insurance markets, reference to markets, insurance rating and underwriting procedures.* Ability to follow processes and procedures and help develop new processes and procedures to help the company become more efficient* Solution driven problem-solving skills and proven analytical skills * Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to plan, manage and oversee department operations* Team player with strong work ethic and outstanding customer service skills* Ideal candidate will demonstrate considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment with ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships * Recent Commercial Lines Account Management experience is preferred but not requiredWhat we offer* Medical Insurance - three plans to choose from* Vision Plan* Dental Insurance* Retirement Savings plan with an Employer Match* Paid Time Off* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* Life & AD&D Insurance
