Our client a reputable & growing firm is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team!

Location: near Lake Worth, Florida

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

Position Description: Schedule, manage and oversee manufacturing, quality, safety, logistics, and all other operational activities for this manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develops and recommends improvements of department, equipment or procedures to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Supervises the production process while managing staff, equipment and materials to achieve the highest safety, quality and production levels.
  • Maintains quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for directing, scheduling and prioritizing of department production activities to attain 100% schedule completion with acceptable quality
  • Completes administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, develop KPI’s, scheduling, personnel actions, payroll and safety.
  • Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the daily material usage to ensure budgeted yields are attained.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area. Ensure the proper execution of preventative maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Responsible for developing, training, accountability and management of hourly employees.
  • Responsible for department schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees and department rotations.
  • Responsible for achieving production schedule attainments.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by Sr. Director of Operations.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • BA Degree in business or related field preferred, but not required, or 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to apply innovative solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to delegate.
  • Strong decision making skills necessary.
  • Knowledge of windows based PC products (eg: Outlook, Excel & Word) and NetSuite.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours.
  • Walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
