Objective: To work collaboratively with Marketing and Operations departments to maximize campus census through strategic bed management and external sales.

 

Routine Functions of the Position: The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain 96% or higher occupancy through consistent prospect referrals from professional sources and advocacy for residents through the health system continuum, as well as direct involvement in the sales process when necessary. This position is one of the central points of contact for all resident hospital and rehab admissions and returns. The Strategic Outcomes Manager will utilize the opportunity created through interaction with discharge planners and social workers to further educate referral sources on Country Meadows’ or Ecumenical’s capabilities and programs. This position will assist in the management of the resident return process through appropriate communication to the operations/ nursing departments on resident status when out of house.

Internal Job Duties:

  • Cultivate productive solution-centered relationship with all campus staff including program managers, maintenance, clinical, community life, dining, spiritual life, and home office operations.
  • Communicate with staff to identify and review all possible resources to ensure successful resident returns and to minimize premature resident discharges. Participate in strategic bed management in partnership with the entire Marketing team.
  • Attend weekly Marketing/ Operations Census Meeting and Monthly Clinical Meeting in order to best collaborate with operations teams on determining and projecting resident care level changes.
  • Along with marketing team, communicate with various departments to schedule and participate in pre-move in meetings and all communications and documentation necessary for such meetings to occur.
  • Complete assessments for new and returning residents and communicate with Operations and Nursing team proactively to ensure they have the information necessary to discuss plans and decisions with families and residents.
  • Facilitate and support the PCA career path by providing monthly marketing tours.

External Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain productive external marketing strategies.
  • In collaboration with the VP of Strategic Planning, develop partnership opportunities with new and existing referral sources and provide them with education on our resources, programs, and levels of care.
  • Serve as a company representative at community functions including professional businesses, religious institutions, health care organizations, and service providers in the community.
  • Identify, create, and distribute appropriate promotional materials designed to generate professional inquiries to meet the budgeted occupancy goal of 96% or greater.
  • Help prepare and create promotional collateral for advertising purposes.
  • Review competitor information and establish a referral based relationship with other facilities and communities.

Work Environment:

  • Requires standing, walking, twisting, bending, pushing, kneeling, stooping, stretching and minimal lifting.
  • Requires normal range hearing and vision, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must be capable of operating: computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, and other general office equipment.
  • Workplace includes: entire campus and off-site marketing events.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Prior experience in Marketing to Seniors, Sales, Senior Housing, Long-term Care Insurance, Hospitality or an appropriate healthcare/personal care background preferred.

Education: College degree in Marketing or Human Services field preferred. Certification/ licensure in assisted living/personal care a plus.

General: Proven track record of Marketing/Sales results. Successful candidate will have an outgoing personality, superior communication skills and strong customer service orientation. Must present a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate a positive, cheerful attitude. Valid state issued driver license and regional travel are a requirement of this position.

This position is bonus eligible.
