Start Your Journey With Us
Marriott International is the world’s largest hotel company, with more brands, more hotels and more opportunities for associates to grow and succeed.  We believe a great career is a journey of discovery and exploration.  So, we ask, where will your journey take you?

The Global Talent Acquisition COE is a headquarters-based team that ensures best in class development and execution of talent acquisition programs, processes, policies, technologies and service delivery globally. We are acutely focused on driving talent acquisition operational excellence while also continuing to stay ahead of the evolving technology landscape, user expectations and competitive practices.

A critical component of the TA COE’s function is the deployment and management of relevant technologies that allow us to attract, recruit, hire and onboard the very best talent for the organization. Our technology stack supports millions of applicants and over 100,000 hires annually across our 30 brands at more than 6,000 locations in over 110 countries. This is no small feat!

In this role, you’ll ensure the day-to-day health of our Applicant Tracking System (Taleo Enterprise Edition / Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud) and manage a sub-set of the tools that integrate into it through technology and vendor management, project management, and stakeholder management.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Technology Planning: Partner with team leadership to support TA technology roadmap planning. This includes:
    • providing consultative guidance to stakeholders on a day to day basis in order to identify and develop functional/technical solutions that meet business needs and challenges
    • supporting the process of evaluating/developing, prioritizing, then launching system enhancements or fixes through regular releases or ad hoc updates if required
  • Vendor & Technology Management: Manage the technical relationship with vendors who support the maintenance of our TA technology and/or integrate with our technology stack. This includes:
    • developing SOWs with vendors
    • ensuring SLAs are met; identify issues that may require proactive intervention to reduce issues and improve performance
    • ensuring vendors are responsive to issues and guiding them as they facilitate updates and enhancements as requested
    • serving as the primary POC for escalations and resolution process for designated technologies
    • serving as subject matter expert on tools to provide guidance to super users, tier 1 support and other key stakeholders
  • Project and Resource Management: In addition to business as usual vendor/technical management, this role will also be assigned to manage projects in support of system updates and enhancements. This may include:
    • directly developing, or providing oversight to vendors as they develop project timelines, requirements, technical/functional solutions and testing/QA plans
    • engaging internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during the course of projects
    • securing and supporting resources for projects
    • coordinating and/or participating in functional testing/QA
    • ultimately ensuring the outcome of project management efforts result in the flawless execution and launch of said projects

This role requires someone to be both technically strong and consultative as they will work creatively to identify ways in which our TA technology can meet business challenges and goals. It also requires a collaborative team member as you will partner with stakeholders, internal support teams, and vendors to ensure the successful development and integrations of technology and processes. Being a strategic thinker is a must as you will need to manage through a complex technology stack in order to reach millions of job seekers each year. Other requirements include:

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Information Technology
  • Three or more years of experience in the area of Human Resources technology that includes working with vendors, project coordination and end-user support
  • Experience must include talent acquisition – either supporting TA technology (e.g. applicant tracking systems) or directly being in a recruiting related role
  • Experience directly using and/or supporting Oracle recruiting products preferred
