 Job Summary:


Shaner Hotels, a leading owner / operator of hospitality properties, has an immediate opportunity for as Assistant Chief Engineer to join our team at the Chattanooga Marriott, a full-service, 342 room hotel located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. This property has 342 guest rooms, meeting space, health club and two on-site restaurants.  The property is located next to the Chattanooga Convention Center. The Assistant Chief Engineer will support all aspects of the engineering department to include the proper operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of all heating ventilation, refrigeration and mechanical equipment. Tasks also include supervision, training and managing engineering/security staff in accordance with the standards of Marriott and Shaner Hotels.


Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in hotels; Marriott-brand experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and other mechanical equipment critical to the operation of the building; proper chemical handling & disposal.
  • Ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
