The Quality organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Quality Engineer to join the Quality team at Toledo Machining Plant in Toledo, Ohio.

The specific job responsibilities will be:

• Support Corporate Quality objectives/deliverables and act as the voice of the customer
• Main contact to customer that includes; Communicating to TMP any customer complaints at the customer facility, lead and execute the containment activity to protect the customer, and report back to customer with permanent root cause, permanent fix and sustainment of the corrective action
• Provide expert technical leadership in coordinating and directing cross-functional teams in the application of problem solving methodology
• Ability to understand and interpret statistical data as it relates to manufacturing process on the floor
• Able to understand and interpret engineering drawing, specifications
• Knowledge of advanced problem solving methodology, DOE, PPA and other tools. Expert in the creation of Control Plan, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, etc. Basic understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerance)
• Basic understanding of Error and Mistake Proofing methodology -- will manage the creation, maintenance and verification of Error and Mistake Proofing devices to protect the customer
• Basic Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing philosophy to support the QC pillar in it journey toward achieving its goals
• Ability to travel on a short notice as needed
• Knowledge and understanding of Minitab
