Class A CDL Drivers - Full-time / Part-time

SYNCREON is seeking licensed CDL drivers to move tractor trailer trucks to and from our customers facility to facilitate shipping and receiving operations at our Toledo, OH and Temperance, MI facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a company owned or leased tractor trailer truck to move trailers within the facility for loading, unloading, and or cleaning.
• Operate a tractor trailer over the road to move material safely to the customer facility and back.
• Maintain routine communication with transportation/management regarding the placement of trailers both in door and in the drop lot while performing daily yard checks as directed.
• Inspect Trucks/trailers daily monitoring conditions and communicate with operation supervisor when repair(s) required.
• Perform required before, during, and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
• Comply with company and safety rules and regulations.
• Perform daily inspections and maintain housekeeping to facility and corporate standards.
• Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
• Perform other work as assigned by supervisors.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Non over the road position (home each day).

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A Driver license is required
• the ability to work both in Ohio or Michigan
• Must be a self-starter with previous shunt or over the road driving experience
• 3 years' experience preferred
• Experience driving deep reach forklift is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Good oral and written communication
• Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties and detail work accurately
• Ability to work with frequent distractions

Physical Demands include:

Ability to lift, push, pull or maneuver materials manually or with the assisted lifting devices

Employee may be required to bend and twist at the waist, torso, and/or torso.

Position requires employee to alternate between sitting and standing on flat concrete for extended periods of time. Position requires to climb in and out of a tractor trailer throughout the day.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb, sit, stand; walk; and bend.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
