Summer Warehouse Worker - Part-time

As a Warehouse Product Selector, you will work hands-on with products, ensuring stores receive the items they ordered and are able to meet their customers’ needs. Each case you accurately select will influence and contribute to the big picture success of our stores as they ensure customer satisfaction.

• Provide incredible service to the stores by accurately selecting products; understanding the critical role the job plays in the day-to-day operations of the stores and their ability to serve our customers
• Ensure products are being selected and moved to the correct locations, keep pace with equipment and machinery to prevent a slowing in workflow while achieving the minimum requirements of cases/ day or cases/ hour
• Read store order and/or use Vocollect software during product selection, accurately select products based on the information received to ensure stores are delivered the items they have ordered
• Build pallets of correctly selected products to be delivered to stores; ensure pallets are neat and organized to minimize the risk of damaging product and enable stores to unload deliveries efficiently
• Properly handle all products, equipment and machinery in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines
• Maintaining open lines of communication with co-workers and supervisors to ensure the warehouse is operating efficiently and are working to provide incredible service to the stores

What will set me apart from other candidates:

• Experience working in a food distribution center
• Warehouse experience
• Experience operating a pallet jack

Work environment:

• Repetitive heavy lifting 35 – 65lbs, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting
• Warehouse temperatures range from -20o F (Frozen Foods Warehouse) to 105 o F (Grocery Warehouse)
• Will be trained, certified and responsible for safely operating the following equipment, pallet jack
